Worship pastor
allen creek community church - marysville, wa
The opportunity
AC3 is seeking a part-time Worship Director who will cultivate a culture of participative worship and transcendence.
Historically, worship leadership at AC3 has been shared among five rotating worship leaders. While faithful and consistent, this model has limited unified vision, long-range planning, and cohesive worship development. The church is ready for a leader who can:
Cast and steward a clear worship vision
Lead from the front (vocally and instrumentally)
Develop volunteers and worship leaders
Strengthen technical and online worship quality
Integrate creativity into the Sunday experience
This is an opportunity for a resilient, emerging leader to shape a growing ministry in a church that values creativity, theological depth, and radical authenticity.
01
worshipper first
The right candidate is someone who
Leads from a deep relationship with Jesus and understands worship as facilitating encounters with God — not showcasing musical ability.
02
can lead from front
Is able to confidently lead vocally and instrumentally while guiding the congregation into participative, spiritually engaging worship.
03
Resilient and Emotionally Mature
Can navigate strong personalities, change, and honest feedback without needing constant affirmation, while remaining humble and steady.
04
Builds and Develops Teams
Recruits, mentors, and empowers volunteers — honoring long-standing leaders while cultivating new ones and strengthening unity.
05
Carries Vision for Participative Worship
Can move worship culture from observation to engagement, fostering transcendence while remaining accessible to irreligious guests.
06
Embraces Creativity and Collaboration
Is excited to integrate music with drama, storytelling, and the arts, working closely with the Creative Teams Director to create cohesive Sunday experiences.
about the church
Allen Creek Community Church (AC3) was planted in 1995 in Marysville, WA, with a heart to reach irreligious people and make the Gospel accessible without compromising truth. From its beginnings in a living room to becoming a 250-person church today, AC3 has consistently pursued creativity, apologetic depth, and authentic faith.
The church is known in the community for:
A welcoming, safe place to ask hard questions about faith
Strong biblical teaching and apologetic clarity
Authenticity and compassion toward the broken
Creative expressions of the Gospel (including drama and integrated arts)
Engagement with the poor and marginalized (Celebrate Recovery, food distribution partnerships)
Over the last several years, AC3 has intentionally shifted toward warmth, participation, and deeper community engagement. The next chapter includes elevating worship as a primary spiritual experience — not performative, but participative and transcendent.
