The next Worship Minister & Communications Director will play a key role in helping BCC live out its mission and become a “vibrant, engaged, and growing biblical community.”

Bridgetown Christian Church (BCC) is a vibrant, Bible-based congregation located on the west side of Cincinnati in Green Township. Founded in 1933 as part of the Restoration Movement, BCC has remained rooted in its mission to Love God, Love People, and Grow Disciples.

The church exists as a non-denominational body with a strong emphasis on unity, Scripture, and practical discipleship. In recent years, the leadership has led the church through a significant vision and values renewal process, clarifying the mission and aligning all ministries around a shared heartbeat for spiritual growth and community engagement.

Today, BCC averages around 225 people on Sunday mornings and is steadily rebuilding volunteer teams and ministries following several staff transitions. The congregation is multigenerational and family-oriented, with a median age in the mid-40s and deep roots in the surrounding community.

POSITION PROFILE

The Role

Bridgetown Christian Church is seeking a Worship Minister & Communications Director to help shape and lead the creative heartbeat of the church — someone who can inspire worship, tell stories that connect people to the mission, and cultivate teams who serve with excellence and joy.

This role combines two areas of strategic impact:

  • Worship Ministry — Leading the musical and spiritual life of Sunday worship through a strong platform presence, biblical depth, and a passion for developing volunteer teams.

  • Communications — Managing the church’s voice and visual identity across digital and print platforms, ensuring that every message reflects the church’s mission and vision.

This is a full-time position that reports to the Discipleship & Teaching Minister.

Primary Responsibilities

Worship Ministry

  • Develop and articulate a biblical, clearly defined philosophy of worship aligned with BCC’s mission and vision.

  • Lead and build volunteer teams across worship, production, and tech.

  • Create engaging and meaningful worship experiences using modern worship styles (Passion, Elevation, and others) with occasional hymns.

  • Manage all audio, visual, and lighting systems for weekend services.

  • Oversee worship planning, scheduling, and rehearsals through tools like Planning Center and Ableton.

  • Build a healthy, collaborative culture among musicians, volunteers, and staff.

  • Serve as the primary face of the worship ministry and invest in developing the next generation of worship leaders.

Communications

  • Develop and execute a unified communications strategy that supports BCC’s mission and five-year vision.

  • Manage church messaging across digital and physical channels, including social media, website, email, and video.

  • Ensure brand consistency in all visuals and communications.

  • Collaborate with ministry leaders to tell stories that promote engagement and spiritual growth.

  • Support the assimilation strategy and overall engagement pathway of the church.

Preferred Qualifications

Worship Ministry

  • Bachelor’s degree in ministry, music, or biblical studies preferred.

  • At least 3–5 years of worship ministry experience.

  • Strong vocal ability and proficiency in at least one instrument (keys or guitar preferred).

  • Skilled in using worship technology (sound board, lighting, Ableton, ProPresenter, Planning Center).

  • Experience leading and developing teams.

Communications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field preferred.

  • 3–5 years of organizational communications or media experience.

  • Proficiency in social media management, digital storytelling, and basic graphic design.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills..
