about the church
Christ Methodist Church of Auburn is a joyful, faith-driven congregation that emerged out of a season of discernment and transition. Originally part of Auburn UMC, a group of members chose to disaffiliate following concerns about denominational direction. United by grief, hope, and prayer, this laity-led congregation voted to join the Global Methodist Church, calling Dr. Tony McCullough as their first Senior Minister.
Currently meeting at Lee-Scott Academy with a weekly “mobile church” model, CMCA gathers about 450 people each Sunday. With a growing sense of community and mission, the church also has a weekday space to work from.
Their core identity is deeply Wesleyan and rooted in the Global Methodist tradition, living out their mission to worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.
