about christ united church mobile
Christ United Church was founded in 1979 by twelve families who shared a vision for a world-impacting church in west Mobile. From the beginning, the church has been committed to meeting three essential spiritual needs: a relationship with God, a relationship with other believers, and a purpose bigger than oneself.
Over the decades, Christ United has grown into a large, vibrant congregation known for impactful worship, strong ministries, and a deep commitment to loving God, loving people, and changing the world. In 2023, the church transitioned to become Christ United Church – A Methodist Community, continuing its Wesleyan heritage while operating with independence and clarity of mission.
Today, Christ United serves a large population of families, particularly those with older children and teenagers, and is deeply rooted in the Mobile community. They currently have around 1000 total in Sunday attendance with 100 students.
