The Bridge Church is seeking a seasoned Student Pastor who can build meaningful relationships, develop leaders, and create engaging environments for kids and families. This leader will play a key role in shaping the next generation ministry by fostering connection, equipping volunteers, and helping families take next steps in their faith.

POSITION PROFILE
RESPONSIBILITIES
YOUTH MINISTRY
Design, lead, and implement weekly Bridge Jr. High and High School ministry gatherings
Recruit and train volunteer leaders to build meaningful-discipling relationships with students
Connect with students around local school campuses, recreational activities, and 1:1 meetings
Design and implement regular outreach events to reach local non-Christian students
Support and shepherd parents and students, helping them deal with issues students face
Develop and implement a discipleship curriculum that further grows students’ discipleship to Jesus, including a student leadership track with monthly trainings
Encourage the development of gifts, assimilation, and serving opportunities for students at The Bridge, particularly on Sunday mornings, at outreach events/ministries, and other gatherings
Communicate monthly with parents and equip them to disciple their students at home
Hold 2 camps (summer/winter) and various community-building activities and retreats throughout the year
Maintain the student ministry budget and inventory
Oversee fundraising opportunities for youth camps (example: fireworks booth, car wash, bake sale, etc.)
Work with Children’s and Family Pastor to assimilate 5/6th graders into Jr. High ministry
PREACHING
Preach for Sunday morning services 3-5 times a year (or as needed by the Lead Pastor)
Any other tasks assigned by the Lead Pastor
CHURCH-WIDE EVENTS
Participate and lead a designated portion of church-wide events (Trunk-or-Treat, Christmas Festival, Seek Week, etc.)
RELATIONSHIPS
Supervisor of YOUTH ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Lead and support YOUTH MINISTRY VOLUNTEERS
Communicates with WORSHIP DIRECTOR for youth group worship gatherings
Works with CHILDREN’S AND FAMILY PASTOR to successfully transition children into youth group
Partners with the SPANISH PASTOR to foster inclusion and engagement of Spanish-speaking students
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5 years of leading youth ministry
Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Seminary and/or Bible courses are preferred
Active committed attendance and participation at The Bridge, including tithing
Accepts and supports The Bridge’s mission, vision, values, statement of faith, and staff culture values
A proven leader demonstrating the qualities of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus1:6-9
Spends personal time with God through a variety of spiritual disciplines
Proven capacity to identify, develop, equip and lead people for ministry
Excellent skills in communication, organization, and time management
Attends and participates in weekly staff meetings with a collaborative spirit
Proven relational skills with both students, parents, and volunteers
Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word competence
Works within budget, fiscally responsible, projects future needs and communicates them in advance
Able to organize events, programs, and structures them to achieve ministry goals
Able to work without a great deal of supervision until the job is finished and as a team player
Is a self-starter and initiator
