FAMILY PASTOR

THE BRIDGE CHURCH - RENO, NV

The opportunity

There’s something special happening at this growing church in the heart of Spanish Springs, Nevada. While the church currently averages around 40–50 people, the vision is much bigger than the current size—and they are intentionally investing in the next generation as one of the most important areas of ministry in the church.

This is not a role where you inherit a heavily programmed ministry with endless systems to maintain. This is an opportunity for a builder. A creative. Someone who loves the idea of dreaming, experimenting, and helping shape something from the ground up.

The person stepping into this role will oversee ministries from birth through high school and will have significant freedom to help create the culture, strategy, and direction of Next Gen ministry moving forward. If you’ve ever wanted the chance to build ministry environments that truly reflect your passions, ideas, and calling, this role offers an unusual amount of trust, autonomy, and room to innovate.

At the same time, you won’t be building alone. The leadership team is deeply supportive, collaborative, and excited to champion the person who steps into this role. You’ll be surrounded by people who value your voice, believe in Next Gen ministry, and want to help set you up to succeed.

This is intentionally designed as a part-time, bi-vocational opportunity—and the church sees that as a strength, not a compromise. In today’s world, many of the most creative and impactful leaders are building flexible, multi-passion careers that allow them to stay connected both to ministry and the real lives of the people they serve. Whether you’re a teacher, entrepreneur, creative, coach, student, remote worker, or someone pursuing multiple passions, this role offers the flexibility to build meaningful ministry while maintaining balance and sustainability in other areas of life and work.

For the right person, this is more than a part-time church job. It’s a rare opportunity to step into a growing community, help shape the future of a church, and make a lasting impact on kids, students, and families in one of the fastest-growing areas outside of Reno.

The right candidate is someone who

01
developer of people

You are passionate about discipleship. You don’t just lead. You raise up leaders, helping kids, students, and volunteers discover their gifts and step into them.

02
dynamic teacher

You are a compelling communicator who brings Scripture to life—engaging a room, holding attention, and leading students toward real transformation.

03
OUTREACH FOCUSED

You see the opportunity to reach students in the surrounding community and are excited about ministry outside of the walls just as much as inside the walls.

04
highly RELATIONAL

You connect quickly and deeply with kids and students, partner with parents, and shepherd volunteers all while building a culture people want to be part of.

05
bi-vocational

You are energized by purpose and flexibility. You thrive in a bi-vocational lifestyle, seeing ministry and marketplace work not as competing callings, but as opportunities to stay connected to both the church and the community you’re called to reach.

06
organized

You bring clarity where there is complexity — creating systems, rhythms, and follow-through that help ministry run smoothly and effectively.

What’s it like to live in

Reno, nv

Tucked just outside of Reno, Spanish Springs offers something that’s becoming harder and harder to find—a growing community with small-town warmth, incredible access to the outdoors, and a pace of life that is deeply family-friendly.

For someone in ministry, it’s an especially exciting place to plant roots. The area is rapidly growing with young families, new neighborhoods, and people looking for meaningful community and connection. There is tremendous opportunity to build relationships, invest in families, and make a lasting impact in a community that is still growing and developing.

Spanish Springs gives you the best of both worlds. You’re close enough to Reno to enjoy great coffee shops, restaurants, events, and an airport, while still living in a quieter area known for its wide-open spaces, mountain views, and strong sense of community.

If you love the outdoors, Northern Nevada is hard to beat. Within a short drive, you can hike, mountain bike, ski, snowboard, paddleboard, camp, or spend the day at Lake Tahoe—one of the most beautiful places in the country. Families in the area love the access to nature, the slower pace, and the opportunity to raise kids in a community-oriented environment.

And perhaps most importantly, Spanish Springs is a place filled with opportunity. This isn’t stepping into an over-saturated ministry environment where everything has already been built. This is a chance to grow alongside a community, help shape the future of a church, and build meaningful ministry in a place where families are actively looking for hope, connection, and purpose.
