Key Responsibilities
Weekend Gatherings and Preaching
Are you a dynamic communicator? You will prepare and deliver biblically sound, theologically orthodox sermons rooted in Wesleyan theology.
Lead weekly worship gatherings, administer the sacraments (baptism and Holy Communion), and guide the church through special services.
Foster a culture of prayer, discipleship, and spiritual growth across the congregation.
Leadership and Pastoral Care
Cast a clear vision for the church’s spiritual and missional direction.
Engage the church in the mission of the Global Methodist Church: to make disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.
Supervise and develop staff and ministry leaders.
Partner with the Church Council and committees in developing strategies, policies, and budgets.
Ensure healthy communication and collaboration across all ministries and age groups.
Provide pastoral care through counseling, visitation, weddings, funerals, and crisis support.
Equip and empower lay leaders to extend care and support throughout the church body.
Denominational Relationship
Actively participate in the life of the Global Methodist Church through regional and denominational gatherings.
Uphold and teach the doctrines and Discipline of the Global Methodist Church.
Qualifications
A clear and evident calling to pastoral ministry.
Ordained (or eligible for ordination) as an Elder in the Global Methodist Church.
Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or equivalent from an accredited seminary.
Strong biblical preaching and teaching gifts grounded in Wesleyan theology.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a congregational setting.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Commitment to the authority of Scripture, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and the historic teachings of the Christian faith.
